The Vybe. The Vision. The Veteran.
⸻
The Story Begins
Datvybe Music was built from experience,
independence, and a genuine love for the craft.
Founded by Cincinnati artist, producer, engineer,
and songwriter de Carlos Thomas,
the company grew from one artist’s determination to learn every part of the music-making process—from
writing and recording to production, engineering, and releasing music independently
⸻
From Artist to Producer to Label Owner
de Carlos began his career as a rapper under the name Gutta, later evolving into L Gutta.
Over time, he expanded his skills to become
a producer, beat maker,
recording engineer, songwriter, studio owner,
and independent label owner.
That growth created Datvybe Music—a company where original ideas
can be written, produced, recorded, developed, and released under one independent vision.
⸻
The Studio That Built the Brand
The Datvybe recording studio is where the vision comes to life.
Built piece by piece, it provides a private creative space for recording, music production, engineering, songwriting, and artist development.
The studio represents what Datvybe Music stands for:
ownership, resourcefulness, and the ability to turn an idea into a finished record.
⸻
The Sound of Datvybe Music
Datvybe Music creates hip-hop, R&B, soul,
and modern independent music rooted in real-life storytelling.
The sound blends hard-hitting drums,
atmospheric production, emotion, and maturity.
Every record is created with purpose—never rushed
and never built simply to follow a trend.
⸻
Why Experience Is Your Advantage
de Carlos brings more than technical
skill to the music—he brings lived experience, perspective, and purpose.
Datvybe Music proves that creativity has no age limit.
Experience gives the music greater honesty, depth,
and a story that cannot be manufactured.
⸻
What Datvybe Music Stands For
Datvybe Music is built on four principles:
AUTHENTICITY
Creating from real experiences and staying true to the story.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Respecting the work required to create quality music.
INDEPENDENCE
Owning the process, the sound, and the direction.
